Built around specific listening tasks
The site currently offers two tools. Stemix estimates the parts of a mixed recording for practice, closer listening and remixing. Audio Inspector examines decoded audio information, a waveform and basic sample levels. Features that are not implemented are not presented as available products.
Audio processing stays on your device
Using the tools does not require an account. Stemix downloads the processing model and runs in the browser; the inspector uses browser audio decoding. Audio, filenames and processing results are not uploaded to XSL as tool requests. Local history belongs to this browser and is not a cross-device backup. Hosting, component downloads, analytics and ads make separate network requests, as described in the privacy policy.
Free access, with clear limits
Separation, preview, mixing, local history and exports are free. There are no credits, subscriptions or paid export gates. Advertising helps support operation; viewing or clicking ads is not a condition of using a tool. Models and browsers have limits: estimated stems are not presented as original session tracks, and processing every file on every device is not promised.
How the field notes are maintained
The field notes are maintained alongside the product, using the implemented controls, attributed background references, worked examples and tool checks. Pages carry an update date and should change when product settings change. Drafting is assisted; numerical and feature claims are checked against the implementation. These are product guides, not independent research or expert certification. The home-page demo was synthesized for this site to illustrate listening to layers, and is not presented as an AI separation of a real song.
